Unit profile

Description

The profile area extends our understanding of behavioral patterns of natural and artificial systems and develops new artificial cognitive abilities in software and systems. Cognition means how humans, animals and machines perceive, receive, process, store, retrieve and share information.

The profile area will also increase our knowledge of the complex consequences of collective behavior in natural and artificial entities, as well as seek solutions to challenges related to the large-scale automation of our society.

Natural and Artificial Cognition is one out of five profile areas at Lund University.
