Unit profile

Description

The profile area develops transdisciplinary health promotive strategies for proactive ageing. It focuses particularly on cognitive functions and musculoskeletal health as prerequisites for activity and participation. The profile area will develop methods for early identification of individuals and groups at risk of poor health or other vulnerabilities, using economic, social as well as biological markers. The aim is to identify and develop proactive preventive measures that contribute to improved health and quality of life for future generations of older people.

Proactive ageing is one out of five profile areas at Lund University.
