Unit profile

Research

The overarching goal of the lab is to understand the factors that allow for highly regenerative species to perform remarkable acts of regeneration (e.g. limb regeneration). We tackle these question using salamanders as a model system. We are particularly focused on how the immune system promotes and allow for regeneration in salamanders. We apply a variety of wet lab techniques coupled with high throughput computational approaches to probe the pro-regenerative immune response required to facilitate regeneration.
