Description

The division conducts translational and clinical research on asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, palliative care in chronic lung disease, sleep apnea, hypoventilation syndrome, lung cancer, hereditary angioedema, cystic fibrosis, lung transplantation and allergic diseases. It is associated with the clinical section Pulmonary Medicine and Allergic Diseases, Division of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Medicine, at Skåne University Hospital in Lund and Malmö. The Institute for Palliative Care is part of Lund University and Region Skåne. We work with research, development and education in palliative care. The overall goal being that the care of people at the end of life should have the highest possible priority and quality, regardless of the type of illness and where the person is cared for.
