Unit profile

Description

In 2009, a nationwide initiative was established in order to lead and develop world-leading research in Sweden. Lund University received strategic research funding from the Swedish Foundation for Stategic Research and the Swedish Government for 12 strategic research areas (SRAs) of excellence. Of these 12 SRAs, StemTherapy (the strategic research area for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine) continues to be supported by this funding. The StemTherapy environment includes all 33 Stem Cell Center research groups, as well as four research groups at Uppsala University.
