Research
My research focuses on the importance of innate immunity in chronic pulmonary diseases. In particular, pathophysiologic mechanisms during exposure to allergens and microbial pathogens (viruses and bacteria) in asthma and COPD. The research is translational and includes clinical data and samples from the patients as well as cellular studies and animal models. Currently, I collaborate closely with the Respiratory Immunopharmacology group at BMC in Lund.
