Current Research

My research is about decision making and policy processes, with a particular focus on the relation between science and politics. Firstly, I study the role of ideas and scientific knowledge (and uncertainty) in how political problems are defined and decisions are made. Secondly, I study decision-making under risk and uncertainty from a more conceptual perspective. Thirdly, I do research on the scientific side of the relation, more specifically on how scientists understand and approach interaction with society. My research also concerns environmental and climate politics more broadly.

Currently, I work foremost with projects on climate adaptation and how responsibility can be distributed between different societal actors. Focus is on Sweden and the role of public vs. private actors and the national vs. local level, as well as the distribution between sectors.

My research is partly interdisciplinary and is conducted together with researchers from different disciplines, at the moment Ecology, Philosophy and Engineering.
