Research

My group works with radiotherapy, cancer imaging and outcomes modelling. The focus of my research is to explore how image-guided radiotherapy can be used to improve tumor control and reduced side-effects for cancer patients. Currently, we are working on methods and technology for using imaging both prior to and during radiotherapy to adapt treatments in order to reduce safety margin and thereby side-effects following radiotherapy. Further, we are using imaging data obtained prior to radiotherapy, in addition to other information about the patient, and to determine areas with high risk of recurrence as well as treatment-related side-effects. Finally, our group work on how PROMs (patient-reported outcomes) data can be integrated in a self-learning radiotherapy clinic.
