Research

I was admitted as a full-time Ph.D. student at Lund University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Health Sciences, in late January 2020. I am doing research in the field of gerontology. My main supervisor is professor Susanne Iwarsson. My co-supervisors are associate professor Marianne Granbom and professor Håkan Jönson respectively.

The Ph.D. thesis studies are part of three large projects. The subject is prerequisites for Ageing in Place in later life.

The theoretical underpinnings in the studies include gerontology, sociology, and psychology from a life course and everyday life  perspective. The studies revolve around residential reasoning, personal finances, sustainable housing, and wellbeing in the ageing population, mainly older adults 65 years and older.
