Research

Alexander Hardenberger defended his doctoral thesis in December 2023, titled The Burden of Pleading Material Facts in Civil Litigation. Alongside his doctoral studies, Alexander has accumulated several years of experience working at a business law firm. Since January 2025, Alexander has been leading a research project fundad by the Swedish Foundation for Legal Research (Institutet för rättsvetenskaplig forskning), entiteled Hobbling Justice (Haltande rättskipning). This project explores the concept of grave procedural errors (domvilla) as outlined in Chapter 59 of the Swedish Code of Judicial Procedure. 

Teaching

Alexander lectures in the foundational course on civil procedrual law within the law program, as well as in the advanced course Litigation and Arbitration. He also supervises theses in the field of civil procedrual law. 

Outreach

Alexander Hardenberger is part of the research environment Business Law Center at Lund University (ACLU), a collaboration between the departments of Commercial Law, Law and Sociology of Law.
