Research
My main research is focused on economic historical geography. I am particularly interested about the interrelations of economic growth, geographical differences and size of markets. I have worked with data on the twentieth century in the United States, late Middle-Ages and Early Modern Sweden, and 19th century Spain. I am particularly interest in the analysis of the effect of place-based policies on inequality in terms of time and space, combining historical data and use of modern techniques such as Geographic Information Systems and spatial econometrics.
