Personal profile

Research

I am a Doctoral Candidate in Public International Law at the Faculty of Law, Lund University. My doctoral project examines the use of a differentiated standard of proof by the International Court of Justice and is supervised by Dr Lena Wahlberg and Dr Britta Sjöstedt.

My research interests relate to mainly general public international law, in particular international dispute settlement, UN Charter/UN institutional law, and state responsibility law.

I hold an LL.M degree from Lund University and have also studied international law, human rights, international relations at Université Jean Moulin Lyon III in Lyon, France. During my studies, I undertook an internship focusing on human rights at the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the UN in Geneva, Switzerland. I was also an editor and later managing editor of the Swedish student-run law journal Juridisk Publikation.

Teaching

I teach various topics in public international law at both the undergraduate and advanced levels at the Faculty of Law, Lund University.  This includes topics such as the law of state responsibility, international dispute settlement/peaceful settlement of disputes, non-state actors, the use of force, humanitarian intervention and R2P, and peacekeeping and peace enforcement. In addition to lectures, I regularly teach seminars, tutorials and exercises in these general areas. I have also supervised master’s theses focusing on public international law, relating mainly to sanctions law. In 2022, I was one of the coaches of the Lund University team for the Telders Moot Court competition.

I have presented my research at a number of conferences of workshops, including, for example, at iCourts Centre for Excellence for International Courts and Governance at the University of Copenhagen; the Grotius Centre PhD Reading Group, organised by Leiden University at their campus in The Hague; as well as at IVR Sweden's Annual Conference in Luleå.

I have also been a regular participant in summer schools and workshops orgnaised for doctoral candidates, including the iCourts PhD Summer School in Copenhagen; PluriCourts Summer PhD Course on the Legitimacy of International Law and International Institutions in Oslo; and Sciences Po’s Intensive Doctoral Week in Paris.
