Research

I am a professor of theoretical physics at Lund University. I use methods from statistical and computational physics to study biological problems. My main focus is to explore the principles that govern how proteins fold and interact. My group develops computational models and methods with which we study problems such as the folding, aggregation and phase separation of proteins. Recently, we began investigating the possibility of using quantum computing to fold and design proteins in a simplified, but still computationally challenging, model. Previous research interests include lattice gauge theory and spin models.
