The aim of my work is a theoretical study of the mechanical properties of neutron-irradiated tungsten alloys using molecular dynamics and ab-initio methods (DFT). Tungsten and tungsten alloys are predicted to become a key component in advanced nuclear reactors, such as fusion reactors. Studying the fracture mechanics and the embrittlement of tungsten alloys due to irradiation damages is vital when designing plasma-facing components.
Teaching assistant in the basic courses Mechanics I & II and Engineering Mechanics.
