Research

Anita is a PhD student in Johan Jakobsson's Molecular Neurogenetics research group. The teams' research revolves around transposable elements and the role of these viral-like sequences in human brain evolution, ageing, neurodegenerative diseases and brain tumour. Anita's expertise include molecular biology techniques, CRISPR editing, stem cell and 3D (cerebral organoids) in vitro culture.
