Research

My research profile and expertise is in the field of immunology of chronic inflammation related to Diabetes and Diabetes complications, with a special focus on advanced imaging methods, incl. synchrotron-based imaging and working with in vivo models.

 

Teaching

I have been an active teacher throughout my career. Starting with my Postdoc training in Immunology in 2009 I have over 12 years’ experience in guiding, training and supervising students both in the classroom and in the lab. My aim has been to not only teach them laboratory methods, but also teach them the principles of good scientific practice intended to assure the quality of laboratory studies and to become honest, critical and fair-play researchers in their future career.
