My research profile and expertise is in the field of immunology of chronic inflammation related to Diabetes and Diabetes complications, with a special focus on advanced imaging methods, incl. synchrotron-based imaging and working with in vivo models.

I have been an active teacher throughout my career. Starting with my Postdoc training in Immunology in 2009 I have over 12 years’ experience in guiding, training and supervising students both in the classroom and in the lab.
