Personal profile

Research

I study the people side of innovation and entrepreneurship. How people come together and work together when developing new technology or new ventures. I care about how team dynamics shape decision-making in startup teams; how social norms shape interactions in the startup world, and how firms come together in alliances and ecosystems to develop new, or more sustainable, technology.

Most of my research is based on longitudinal data, collected in the context of new venture teams or inter-organizational R&D alliances.

My work has been published in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organization Studies, Research Policy, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Journal of Product Innovation Management. I have received several honors for my work, such as the Carolyn Dexter Award from the American Academy of Management in 2021, and selected for best paper consideration at different conferences. I am an Associate Editor of Industry and Innovation, and I serve on the editorial review board of the Journal of Management Studies; Organization Studies, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. My research is currently funded by  Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and Energimyndigheten.
