Research

I completed my PhD in social work in 1997 with a thesis on the international Fountain House movement. The thesis laid the foundation for my research interests in social movements, transnational diffusion of ideas, and the role and function of civil society in welfare states. More recently, my research has focused on the Europeanization of Swedish civil society, the elitization of civil society, and transnational conservative movements fighting sexual and reproductive rights.
