Anna disputerade 2015 med avhandlingen "Long-term morbidity and socioeconomic outcome among Nordic childhood cancer survivors". Anna bedriver fortsatt forskning i samarbete med Nordiska forskare inom studien Adult Life after Childhood Cancer in Scandinavia" (ALiCCS), en stor, Nordisk register-baserad kohortstudie om sena komplikationer efter barncancer (www.aliccs.org). Dessutom gör Anna nu ett post-doc hos professor Smita Bhatia på Institute of Cancer Outcomes and Survivorship, University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA. Där studerar Anna "late mortality after blood or marrow transplantation in childhood".
