Personal profile

Research

The focus of my research is identification of tumor biomarkers, addressed through translational projects, in collaboration with clinicians and with concrete clinical needs being tackled through technical approaches. I use Spatial Omics for multiplex, spatially-resolved characterization of immune infiltration in solid tumors and lymphomas, with the objective of developing personalized immunotherapeutic treatment strategies. My work on liquid biopsies has involved blood based protein signatures for pancreatic cancer, and single-cell morphometric, proteomic and genomic characterization of circulating tumor cells, in comparison to solid tumors.
