Personal profile

Research

My research interests include power relations and identity in organizations, inclusion/exclusion in the organization of societal change, social entrepreneurship, the role of context in the entrepreneurial process, and qualitative methods. In my dissertation research, I explore the ‘social’ in social entrepreneurship, something that is generally left vague and open-ended in the literature. To highlight the political and ideological character of the ‘social’, I outline how it is constructed and upheld against resistance. My current postdoctoral research seeks to better understand the phenomena of whistleblowing in organizations, including matters of employee voice and silence.
