Personal profile

My main research expertise is in the area of EU constitutional law, in particular the delimitation of competences. My work focuses on the structure of legal bases and general criteria for legal basis litigation in EU law. In my academic contributions, I have discovered several flaws inherent in the quest for the correct legal basis on the grounds of overlapping competences, divergent inter-institutional interests, and inconsistencies in the courts' judgments.

My wider research portfolio comprises more specific areas related to EU law, such as criminal law, competition law, and international trade. In addition, I have a genuine interest in the legal implications of the UK's withdrawal process from the EU and the relationship between the EU and the UK after Brexit.
