Personal profile

Research

My research revolves around methodological development and applications within epidemiology, medical statistics, and health economics. In particular, I have in several articles studied the relationships between health status, health behaviors, health care utilization, and socioeconomic status. My research has a strong emphasis on causal inference, not least by the use of quasi-experimental methods. I also study how selection issues and effect heterogeneity can be addressed in cohort studies. I teach statistics for PhD students at the Faculty of Medicine.
