Arnljótur Ástvaldsson has a doctoral degree in private law (company law). His research is in the field of company law and EU law on companies and other legal forms for organisation. A specific focus in Ástvaldsson's research is on the legal form and governance structure of European Research Infrastructure Consortiums (ERICs).
