Research

I have a background in cell and molecular biology and now have moved to with working with fascinating fungi. My project mostly involves saprotrophs (wood degrading mushrooms) and understanding how they perform wood decomposition. I am currently using spectroscopy and transcriptomics to understand how these fungi change the structure of cellulose, one of the components of wood.
