Professor
I got my PhD at Lund University in 2003. Then, I was a Marie-Curie post-doc at the University of Edinburgh, and returned to Lund in 2006.
Since 2017, I'm Professor in Evolutionary Biology at the Department of Biology. I'm PI (Principal Investigator) in the research groups Genetics of Sex Differences (SexGen) and Molecular Ecology and Evolution (MEEL). I'm also PI in BECC.
My research has two main directions: sex chromosomes and speciation. Sex chromosomes and their genes code for differences between males and females. My research group studies the evolution of sex chromosomes.
Within speciation, I am particularly interested in ecological speciation. I investigate the importance of adaptation to different environments for the process of species formation, but I also study how isolation affects speciation. Hybridization is another area I am intersted in.
In my research I use population genetics, quantitative genetics and population genomics.
