Research

My current research focus is fundamental physics with neutrons. I am one of the co-proposers of the future neutron-to-antineutron search experiment at the European Spallation Source, known as HIBEAM-NNBAR. While contributing to various aspects of the experiment, my primary role revolves around designing the annihilation detector, which is which is the key instrumentation for reconstructing the final state arising from an antineutron annihilation with a neutron or a proton in a carbon target. The development of the detector involves detailed simulations, primarily utilizing the Geant4 package — an activity I coordinate within the collaboration.
