Research

Bo Bernhardsson received his Ph.D. in Automatic Control from Lund University in 1992. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications at the University of Minnesota, he returned to Lund University, where he earned his docent degree in 1998 and became a full professor in 1999. From 2001 to 2010, he was on leave, working at Ericsson as an expert in mobile system design and optimization. In 2010, Bernhardsson resumed his position at Lund University, where he has since continued his work as a professor in automatic control. His current research interests include the analysis of EEG signals, control of uncertain systems, radio-based sensing and communication, and modeling and analysis of medical data, areas where he enjoys combining theoretical analysis with practical applications.
