Personal profile

Research

I am a researcher in information studies with a background in anthropology and sinology, currently based in the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences. At present, I am involved in two research projects funded by MISTRA, the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Environmental Research, and FORMAS, the Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development. In the projects, I explore the use and understanding of everyday environmental monitoring devices in different social-cultural contexts, and the spatial and affective practices of environmental communication that take place in museums and nature visitor centers. Related issues I am exploring are environmental datafication and human–nature relations, affective communication, environmental time-scapes and anticipatory practices. My research interests span the fields of environmental humanities, cultural studies, eco-aesthetics, future studies, and information and communication studies.

At the Department of Arts and Cultural sciences, I am also a conveyor of the research node and seminar series Environmental Humanities.
