Research

In my work I have contributed to the field of life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental impact analysis. My work encompasses a wide range of topics, including the environmental impacts of food production, land use management practices, and the simplification of LCA. My research also extends to assessing the environmental impact of dietary choices and rethinking product functions using LCA in manufacturing. I have worked in assessing the impacts of processing techniques to extract protein from fisheries by-products. In terms of methodological development, I have been involved in the development of and applied innovative approaches to LCA, such as fuzzy thinking, to bridge the gap between land use practices and biodiversity conservation goals in LCA. I am also interested in bringing an explicit location perspective to the assessment of the impacts of products
