    Personal profile

I am a biologist with broad interests in the interplay between evolution, ecology and behaviour. I use wild bird populations as a model to investigate the causes of individual variation in local (i.e. dispersal) and continental (i.e. migration) movement patterns and its consequences for population structure. I am also interested in the role of non-genetic inheritance of acquired traits (e.g. habitat imprinting) in evolutionary processes. My research combines field observations and experiments with statistical modelling and remote monitoring to address basic questions in evolutionary ecology and applied questions in conservation biology.
