Personal profile

Research

I am Caroline Larsson, a licensed physiotherapist and senior lecturer in physiotherapy at Lund University. My research focuses on pain, rehabilitation, and self-management, particularly among older adults and individuals with chronic conditions. I have investigated how psychological factors, such as kinesiophobia, influence physical activity and health, and I have worked on the development and evaluation of digital interventions to support self-management.

I am involved in several research projects, including international collaborations, where I study how digital solutions can enhance healthcare support and physical activity. I also participate in the T-REX study, which explores whether exercise can activate the lung’s self-healing capacity in individuals with COPD.

Through my research, I strive to contribute to the development of individualized and evidence-based rehabilitation strategies and to improve support, particularly for older adults in primary care.
