The Soft and Complex Biomaterials Group

We explore the structure–process–function relationships in biological macromolecules (silks, elastomeric proteins and enzymes) to advance bio-inspired materials design and applications. We use optical spectroscopy, soft mechanics, and X-ray and neutron scattering to develop a detailed understanding of biological macromolecule behaviour.
