Personal profile

Research

In my 25 years in paediatric care I worked mainly with children ill in neurological and onological illness. The basis for my clinical work as well as research interest and research area are sick children and their families' needs during illness, as well as e health service's opportunities to support the families based on these needs. My doctoral thesis, under the guidance of main supervisor Professor Inger Kristensson Hallström, focused on different perspectives of homecare services for children with long-term and seriously illness in different stages of illness.

Since my dissertation in 2019, I have continued with studies that aims to strengthen families' selfcare during periods of illness primarily with the support of digital tools such as an application for tablets and phones. Another focus area is to develop palliative care for children.
