Research

Research

Charlotte Sjödell, Senior lecturer at the Division of Industrial Design at the Department of Design Sciences, Lund University, Sweden. My interest areas include visual communication/freehand sketching techniques, Design Language, Design Pedagogy and Generative AI within the design process.

My research focuses on how the industrial design profile has changed over the last decades and how this effects current and future designers. I investigate which skills will be necessary to practice industrial design. I look at subjects like form development, brand development and AI integration amongst other things. I also look at how this effect the future of industrial design education.
