Research

Cheryl Sjöström has a research background in interdisciplinary studies with a PhD degree in Sustainability Science from Lund University from 2015. Her research has covered a variety of topics and is often carried out in collaboration with researchers from other departments, faculties and universities. She enjoys research on topics where social forces and environmental impacts interact, most exemplarly in regards to food, food systems and air pollution.

Cheryl has employed both quantitative and qualitative research methods, most notably with her methodological contribution of including discourse analysis to studies of the global food system in her PhD dissertation.

From 2019 she is the program coordinator for the research school ClimBEco at Lund University. At ClimBEco she applies her researcher background and experience in communicating across intellectual boundaries into creating communicative platforms for researchers studying climate, biodiversity and ecosystem services from different angles of vision.
