Research

Christina Bökberg, PhD in Medical Science in the subject of health sciences, nursing, and has a specializing in public health nursing. 

In 2017 I defended my thesis “Care for and services at home for persons with dementia. Structure, process, and outcomes”, at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University. My thesis was a part of the European project RightTimePlaceCare, which aimed to improve dementia care in Europe.
Between 2017-2020 I was a postdoc researcher in the project “Implementation of Knowledge-based Palliative Care”, which aimed to improve palliative care in nursing homes.  I have been co-supervisor to Nadia el Mrayyan, who defended her thesis 2020 “Older people with intellectual disability and affective and anxiety disorders”.

Teaching

Since 2008 have I been a lecturer, course leader and examinator in the nursing program related to public health care as well as in the specialist program for public health nurses. I supervise continuely bachelor and master thesis. In 2019 my students won the price for best bachelor thesis.

Professional work

I have extensive clinical experience in the care of older people, including palliative care, public health care, home nursing care, nursing home, and dementia care (1992-2012).
