Research

I am a Senior lecturer (Universitetslektor) at the department of design sciences. My research is conducted within the field of ergonomics/human factors. I have a special interest in the organizational aspects of the field and of the study of interaction in a broad sense. A major theme in my research is teamwork, i.e. how teams actually work together and how organizational factors affect teamwork. Besides this organizational research track I am also interested in physical aspects of the work environment, specifically those aspects that could interact with and affect work or its organization (including teamwork), this includes the design of the work facilities and technology. So far, I have studied a number of different work domains. While my major focus has been different health care and care domains (projects concerned with: teamwork, the work environment and digitalization), I am also involved in projects concerned with other industral contexts, specifically software development. 

I am pragmatic when it comes to research methodology in the sense that I believe that the method used should be the one best suitable for the problem. In my own research I use both different qualitative methodologies and quantitative methods.

As an Senior lecturer I am an active teacher in courses concerned with interaction design, organizational design and management.
