As a research engineer for the StemTherapy & MultiPark Joint Electrophysiology Core facility at Lund University, my key responsibilities include the planning and execution of electrophysiology experiments (patch-clamp, MEA) or live imaging (optogenetics, calcium imaging, confocal and 2p microscopes) using CNS preparations (acute slices, organotypic or primary cultures) or stem cell preparations (cultures, spheroids, organoids). My role also involves resource allocation, users training and project management to optimize facility efficiency. My objective is to foster collaboration and innovation in our multidisciplinary research environment.

Key missions:

- Implement initiatives to align the facility with university research goals.

- Streamline project management processes for efficient resource utilization.

- Conduct cutting-edge research in electrophysiology and calcium imaging, implement advanced protocols and techniques.

- Manage and maintain state-of-the-art equipment to keep the facility at the forefront of research capabilities.

- Cultivate partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

- Develop comprehensive training programs for facility users and provide mentorship to junior researchers

- Contribute to high-impact research publications
