Research

Currently, my research interests cover topics such as Migration, Gender-Based Violence, and Welfare Regimes. My Ph.D. project is called "Mapping the Social Protection System(s) for Migrant Women experiencing Gender-Based Violence (GBV): EU multi-countries construction of data, actors, and tools". For further details, check the section "projects".

Before earning a Ph.D. position, I was working as a researcher at the Centre for Socio-Economic Research on Ageing, INRCA - Italian National Institute of Health and Science on Ageing. I have primarily been involved in the project "National multilevel co-managed coordination of active aging policies in Italy" in partnership with the Italian Presidency of the Council of Minister – Department for Family Policies (DIPOFAM, funding body), the Ministry of Labour, and INAPP. The project aims to create a national multilevel co-managed coordination of active aging policies in Italy.

In my past non-academic professional career, I worked for an INGO in a project of international cooperation in the Horn of Africa, based in Djibouti. As well, I worked for NGOs and the public sector in the area of Migration and Mental Health in both Italy and France.
