Personal profile

Research

The development of new antidepressants has been hampered by the difficulty of pinpointing distinct symptom profiles linked to specific pathophysiologies, which may respond variably to different treatments. By combining clinical characteristics with peripheral and central biomarkers, our aim is to identify specific subgroups within depression and evaluate the antidepressant efficacy of interventions tailored to these unique biological pathways. The primary objective of this research program is to advance precision psychiatry by customizing antidepressant treatments to address the individual needs of patients.
