The research aims to create new knowledge about (law* and norms' importance for) refugees' economic conditions in their new homeland regarding legal, economic and social perspectives.

The research also aims to generate tools that can be used to reduce indebtedness and help strengthen the level of financial security in society. The dissertation will provide insight into some of society's most delicate issues concerning the interaction between refugees, law and economy.

* The term "law" means in this case the formally adopted legal rules of society, and the bodies responsible for the implementation of these rules.
