Di Tang is a biomedical researcher trained within the medical school/faculty, specialising in proteomics and biological mass spectrometry. He has documented experience in techniques like quantitative proteomics; affinity-enrichment, cross-linking, and hydrogen-deuterium exchange protein mass spectrometry. His expertise also includes structural biology (e.g. cryo-EM), biophysics, cell biology, biochemistry, immunometabolism, and multi-omic analysis. His current research focuses on microbial pathogenesis and host immunity, monoclonal antibody discovery/development/characterisation, protein design and novel vaccine modality.
Aiming to integrating knowledge across disciplines, he focuses on applying advanced analytical techniques coupled with computational biology to better understand complex biological processes. He values scientific integrity, teamwork, and perseverance, approaching each research project with humility and an ambitious attitude.
His goal is to continue expanding his skills in basic research and translational medicine through interdisciplinary collaboration, to further advance the knowledge and understanding of biomedical science.
