Research

PhD Student within the Islet Cell Exocytosis group. The thesis project is focused on studying the underlying mechanisms of beta and alpha cell dysfunction observed in cystic fibrosis related diabetes. Mainly, putative paracrine signals in the form of exosomal microRNA from exocrine to endocrine cells, and the resulting effects on functions such as hormone secretion will be assessed.
