Personal profile

Professional work

I am a licensed psychologist, specialised in clinical neuropsychology. I have extensive clinical experience in assessing cognition in patients diagnosed with neurological disorders such as CNS-tumours or epilepsy. My professional work has included supervision of students and professionals, as well as lecturing and education. In 2021, I defended my thesis on fatigue in survivors of childhood cancer and shortly afterwards I received a 3-year international postdoc grant from the Swedish Research Council, which I conducted in the Netherlands. After this project, I received funding from the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund for yet a postdoc. My second postdoc will focus on intervention studies for survivors, in the Recapture Life project.

Research

My research focus is neuropsychology and my PhD thesis work involved fatigue after childhood cancer, and especially the relationship between fatigue and cognitive abilities. My first postdoctoral research project was an extension of my PhD thesis and during 2021-2024 I investigated the biospychosocial model of fatigue in survivors of childhood cancer. After that, I started working with the Recapture Life project, which is an intervention project for survivors.

Teaching

I am a qualified teacher at university level and have undergone training in teaching and learning in higher education.
