Research

My research covers social work, poverty, food insecurity, civil society, welfare, and service users. I have a special interest in service users’ experiences as well as civil society's relation to public social work. Starting in the spring of 2021 and continuing for the next five years, I will be researching food charity/ food aid & food insecurity within the framework of my dissertation. The research is partly done in collaboration with my supervisor, Associate Professor Anna Angelin. Assistant supervisor is, Professor Anna Meeuwisse.

Teaching

I give regular external lectures for organizations in civil society and in deacon education.

I am regularly teaching at the social work education and the final master's course, "Professional Social Work" which is 15 credits. My responsibilities include supervising and examining.

Professional work

Since the spring of 2021, I have been a doctoral student at the faculty of Social Work at Lund’s University. I graduated in 2008 from Lund’s University as a social worker. Since then, I have worked as a hospital counsellor and social worker in civil society. In 2011, I became a professional deacon and continued working with people in social exclusion. Individual counselling, group activities and advocacy work has been my focus. My master's studies in social work were conducted at Lund University in the years 2018-2019. I wrote the essay "Instrumental Paradox in Church Practice - The Logic and Dramaturgy of the Support." For this essay, I received the national award “Civil Society Essay Scholarship" in 2021.
