Personal profile

Research

I completed my doctoral dissertation in 2016 with a thesis on upper extremity disability after stroke. In my studies, I evaluated measurement properties of outcome measures for muscle strength, somatosensation, dexterity and activity in the upper extremity and investigated how different factors impacted on the ability to use the upper extremity in daily activities after stroke.

My continued research is focused on evaluating measurement instruments and rating scales for the upper extremity as well as studies of disability and effects of rehabilitation in hand injuries and diseases. I am assistant supervisor to Benjamin Hägglund, who studies proprioception in persons with distal radius fracture.
