Personal profile

I am a senior lecturer in health sciences (midwifery), Ph.D. and associate professor with specialization in reproductive, perinatal and sexual health (RPSH). I took my degree in nursing in 1975, midwifery degree in 1977 and defended my Ph.D. thesis in 1997. I received my associate professors title in 2008.

My research area is predominantly obstetric ultrasound, informed choice and ethical aspects. I have been co-supervisor to two Ph.D. students within this area and also to a Ph.D. student doing research into gestational diabetes. Another area of research, pedagogical, has concerned the use of the case method for teaching within the health professions.
