Personal profile

Research

I have been a half-time PhD Student since May 2019.
As a profession, I work as a Resident Physician at Region Halland. From October 2019 to October 2021, I have also been Head of the medical unit at the Department of Psychiatry in Varberg

My research concerns Suicidology and health care interventions of patients with elevated suicide risk.
In my PhD work, I do retrospective explorative studies about health care consumption before death by suicide. In detail, I focus on the suicide risk assessments by health care professionals and how the emotional contact with the patient is assessed. I also work with qualitative methodology (Qualitative Content Analysis) in evaluating a novel therapy focusing on patients with prior suicide attempts (ASSIP). I do in-depth interviews with patients and focus group interviews with therapists about their therapy experiences in this work.
