Personal profile

Research

I am a PhD student in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Lund University. My project Population Exposure to Organic Contaminants and Human Biomonitoring focus on studying the exposure of several environmental contaminants, including pesticides and perfluoalkyl substances (PFAS), in the general population and highly exposed groups. We've measured and monitored the exposure through analysis of biomarkers in biological samples from young men and women in Sweden for 17 years. I've also investigated the transplacental transfer of different PFAS homologues in pregnant women, in highly exposed individuals and at background levels. My research is partly funded by the Swedish EPA, where I'm also involved in data collection for the National Health-related Biomonitoring program (HÄMI).
